CALL TO ACTION, July 17 2017

Midcoast Maine Indivisible is an action-oriented group of locally-organized citizens who resist efforts to advance the Trump agenda in the United States Congress. We are volunteers, not paid activists.  You are an essential part of that we.

CALL TO ACTION FOR July 17, 2017:

MEET: Next MCMI meeting is Wednesday, July 19th. 6:30 small groups, 7:00 large group. First Universalist Church, 345 Broadway, Rockland. Note the location!

THREE ACTIONS:
==========================================

ACTION 1. Call Senator Susan Collins and Senator Angus King to thank them for opposing the Republican bill to slash health care insurance ranks by 22 million people.  See our senators’ phone numbers below.

ACTION 2. Both of our Senators — Angus King and Susan Collins — are on the Senate Intelligence Committee that is running a surprisingly quiet investigation of links between Donald Trump, his entourage, the totalitarian Russian government and the Russian effort to undermine American elections. Get in touch with your Senators in this eye-catching way, as easy as A-B-C: A) write a few sentences in your own words asking Maine’s senators to toughen up the Trump-Russia investigation.  B) Visit Google Translate at https://translate.google.com/#en/ru/ to obtain the Russian-language equivalent of your statement.  C) Head over to Senator Collins’ contact web form (https://www.collins.senate.gov/contact on the web) and Senator King’s contact web form (https://www.king.senate.gov/contact on the web).  Copy and paste your request — first in Russian, then in English.

ACTION 3. Tuesday, July 18th, 12:30 PM: weekly visit to Senator Collins’ Augusta office. Pete Kalajian has a standing weekly visit to her Augusta office. He will be leaving every Tuesday at 12:30 pm. Please email him at pete.kalajian.mobile@gmail.com or text at 207-975-0944 to coordinate.
