CALL TO ACTION, November 28 2017

Midcoast Maine Indivisible is an action-oriented group of locally-organized citizens who resist efforts to advance the Trump agenda in the United States Congress. We are volunteers, not paid activists.  You are an essential part of that we.

CALL TO ACTION FOR November 28, 2017:

MEET UP TO ACT UP!: Next MCMI meeting is Wednesday, November 29 at 7 pm. First Universalist Church, 345 Broadway, Rockland. This meeting is vital for planning our Grinch Who Stole Christmas protest (see below).  So come on down and bring a friend!

JOIN our e-mail list for announcements of all upcoming actions and meetings.  To join the list, write tracyjalbuena1@gmail.com.

ALERT! On November 28, Senator Susan Collins indicated that she is leaning toward supporting the downright nasty Trump Tax Scheme. (Get informed: Read here for the story).  This means that we must call Senator Collins today, tomorrow and every day until the tax scheme meets its fate, because this tax scheme kicks poor people in the teeth, gives middle-class people a sucker-punch, and lavishes benefits on the wealthy.  This is not a just plan (Get informed: watch this excellent PBS Newshour report at about minute 3 for an analysis of the scheme).

UPCOMING ACTION: On December 9 at noon in downtown Rockland, join us for our Grinch Who Stole Christmas protest.  Dress as a Christmas Grinch or a tuxedoed billionaire and take part in our procession as we march down Main Street, (satirically) celebrating the new Republican Tax Cut Plan to funnel money from the poor and the middle class to the richest of the rich.  We’ll be handing out “Chance cards” with details on the GOP tax scheme to passersby.  Nearly a year has gone by since the Trump Republicans seized control. Don’t let anyone forget what’s going down!
